The lived realities of Pakistan’s trans community were brought into focus during a meaningful dialogue convened by Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar, highlighting the urgent need for protection, inclusion, and institutional accountability.

Members of the trans community shared personal experiences of discrimination, gender-based violence, and persistent barriers to accessing justice. Their testimonies shed light on the systemic challenges faced in everyday life and the impact of silence on marginalized voices.
Ms. Fauzia Viqar listened to these concerns and reaffirmed the Ombudsperson’s commitment to upholding dignity, equal rights, and fair treatment for all. She emphasized that justice systems must respond with empathy, accountability, and concrete action to ensure that no community is left unprotected.
The session underscored the importance of continued engagement and dialogue in addressing structural inequalities and advancing inclusive protections for marginalized groups.
