ISLAMABAD – The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) joined a multi stakeholder consultation organized by the Peace and Justice Network (PJN) in collaboration with the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW). The session focused on improving coordinated protection mechanisms for survivors of gender based violence in the federal capital.

Chaired by NCSW Chairperson Ms. Umme Laila Azhar and facilitated by PJN CEO Mr. Syed Raza Ali, the consultation brought together government departments, human rights institutions, law enforcement agencies, legal aid providers, development partners, and civil society organizations.
FOSPAH was represented by Law Officer Mr. Mohsin Sheikh, who shared institutional insights and recommendations to strengthen survivor centered approaches. Participants examined existing coordination structures, assessed gaps, and discussed practical steps to enhance integrated response systems for GBV survivors.
The consultation underscored the need for collaborative action among all stakeholders to ensure timely, effective, and compassionate support for individuals affected by gender based violence.
