QUETTA, Oct: Governor Balochistan Mr. Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has commended the performance of the Provincial Ombudsman Office, highlighting its vital role in delivering timely and affordable justice to citizens, particularly the underprivileged. Speaking during a weekly public hearing at the Governor House Complaints Cell, the Governor emphasized that the Ombudsman’s quasi-judicial function is helping bridge the gap between the people and the state.

“The delay of justice is itself a form of injustice,” the Governor said, stressing that delays disproportionately affect the poor, who often lack the resources to navigate the conventional legal system. He applauded the Ombudsman Office for offering a cost-effective and accessible platform for grievance redressal across Balochistan.
Governor Mandokhail directed all government departments to work closely with the Ombudsman Office, enhance service delivery, uphold merit in appointments and promotions, and take firm action against irregularities. He underlined that timely redress of public complaints is essential to building public trust and ensuring good governance.
He also praised the efforts of the Governor House team, particularly Additional Secretary Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Kakr, for supporting the effective functioning of the complaints mechanism. According to the Governor, the Ombudsman Office has emerged as a practical tool for protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring state institutions remain accountable.
The Provincial Ombudsman Office in Balochistan continues to serve as a crucial link for citizens seeking justice outside the formal court system, reaffirming its commitment to responsive governance and equitable service delivery.
