LARKANA, August 26, 2025 – Regional Director (RD) Ombudsman Sindh, Ali Akbar Jagirani, on the directives of Provincial Ombudsman Sindh Muhammad Sohail Rajput (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), took notice of reports circulating on social, print, and electronic media regarding severe water shortages in tail-end areas of Badah District and Munder Branch, Taluka Naseerabad.

During his visit, accompanied by Assistant Executive Engineer of Badah Sub-Division Rice Canal, Amanullah Awan, the RD Ombudsman received complaints about 92 leakages disrupting regulated water levels. He directed the irrigation staff to restore the water flow within 12 hours to ensure cultivators are not adversely affected.

It was also noted that model levels on the branch had been damaged, with assurances given that repairs would be completed after the water season. Complaints from local landlords, including Dodo Khan, Muhammad Usman Burdi, and others, were heard on-site, with immediate instructions issued for their redressal.

The intervention highlights the Ombudsman’s proactive role in addressing public grievances and ensuring timely resolution of issues affecting livelihoods.
