MIRPURKHAS, Aug 21: The Federal Ombudsman’s Office Mirpurkhas, under the directives of Hon’ble Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, organized an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at the office of the Mayor Municipal Corporation Mirpurkhas on Thursday.
The session, presided over by In-charge and Advisor Engineer Muhammad Arif, provided a platform for citizens to directly lodge complaints against federal institutions including HESCO, Sui Southern Gas, Railways, Benazir Income Support Programme, and NADRA.
Several complaints were resolved on the spot, while others were scheduled for detailed review. Concerned officers and applicants were summoned to ensure speedy redressal.
Engineer Muhammad Arif emphasized that the Khuli Kachehri initiative reflects the Ombudsman’s commitment to providing accessible and transparent justice to the public. He urged citizens to submit written complaints on plain paper for swift resolution.
Mayor Abdul Rauf Ghori lauded the initiative, noting that it would help address pressing issues faced by citizens, particularly during the rainy season. Deputy Mayor Samira Baloch, Deputy Director Information Ghulam Raza Khoso, union council chairmen, and officials of federal institutions were also present.
The Khuli Kachehri reaffirmed the Ombudsman’s mission of accountability and responsive service delivery to citizens at their doorstep.
