LAHORE, Aug 20 (APP): The Office of the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab has rejected a petition filed by Naib Nazim Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) Old Campus, Faizan Khan, seeking re-admission in the BS Punjabi degree program session 2022-26 at Punjab University.
After carefully reviewing the case and hearing arguments from all parties, the Ombudsman ruled that no maladministration had been committed by the Punjab University Institute of Punjabi and Cultural Studies. The disciplinary committee of Oriental College had acted within its mandate and in line with established rules and regulations.
The inquiry revealed that the petitioner’s admission was dropped due to poor academic performance and failure to meet required semester standards. Additionally, it was noted that he was an active worker of a student organization, but the decision was based purely on academic grounds.
The Provincial Ombudsman’s ruling underscores the institution’s role as a neutral forum for accountability, ensuring that disciplinary measures taken by educational institutions remain fair, transparent, and within the bounds of law.
