PESHAWAR, On the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, H.E. Rubab Mehdi, Provincial Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited two key institutions the Women Crisis Center and ZamungKor, a Child Protection Institution to express solidarity, compassion, and support for vulnerable women and children.
At the Women Crisis Center, H.E. Rubab Mehdi met with survivors of abuse and their families, sharing uplifting conversations and receiving cheerful greetings from children. She emphasized the importance of compassion, dignity, and empowerment, reaffirming her office’s commitment to ensuring safety, respect, and the chance to rebuild lives.
Later, during her visit to ZamungKor, she commended the overall facilities and expressed admiration for the talent, creativity, and confidence displayed by the children in their Independence Day performances. Praising their energy and dedication, she noted that each act reflected a vision of hope and promise for a brighter future.
“Every woman deserves safety, respect, and the chance to rebuild her life – and every child deserves love, dignity, and opportunities to shine – and together, we can make that happen,” she remarked.
The dual visits underscored the Ombudsperson’s commitment to championing human dignity, safeguarding rights, and fostering an environment where every individual can thrive.
