ISLAMABAD – In a dedicated effort to raise awareness among marginalized women, the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH), in collaboration with Islamic Relief Pakistan, conducted an interactive session in Sohan focusing on women’s legal rights.

The session, led by Assistant Registrar Waqar Ahmed, brought together widows and home-based workers to discuss their property rights under the Enforcement of Women’s Property Rights Act (EWPRA) 2020 and workplace protections under the 2010 Harassment Act.

Participants learned how to file complaints, the confidentiality safeguards in place, and how FOSPAH protects complainants from retaliation. The event encouraged open dialogue, with women actively engaging through questions and one-on-one consultations about their ongoing property concerns.

This initiative reflects FOSPAH’s mission of building awareness and ensuring access to justice one conversation at a time.
